When I last saw Ireland

Love to travel? While we can’t go far from home right now, this article by Inseong Yang takes us on a tour of Ireland through photographs. Read on to explore our beautiful country virtually!

Nearly 3 years ago, I planned to travel abroad to celebrate myself for finishing military service: all Korean men must do military service for 2 years. Reading a map again and again with a fluttering heart, I finally determined to go to Ireland. So, Ireland became my first European country I visited.

Why did I choose Ireland? Honestly, there was no clear reason at first. I just followed my own intuition. But I could realize that it was ‘perfectly correct’ after arriving there. Ireland was full of beautiful stuffs. Travelling for 2 months around Dublin, Howth, Galway, Sligo, Inis Mor, Kilkenny and Dingle, a grand nature surrounded me everywhere every time. I cannot forget the most twinkling days in my life.

Ireland is an incredibly stunning country to travel, not only for locals but also for foreigners. Even though I cannot go out 5km radius from my home under lockdown now, I still think of the memories at whiles. I earnestly hope the Covid-19 will be over soon and I can travel again. Waiting for the moment, I share some pictures with you. It was when I last saw Ireland!
