Saying Goodbye: My Top 3 Favourite Trips

Saying goodbye is always bittersweet. Now that the exams have come to an end and I am back home safely in the Netherlands, it is time to look back at my time at UL and Limerick. Besides all the studying and partying, my friends and I had some free time left to explore the country. For this blog, I wanted to look back at my three favourite trips that I did this semester.

3. The Burren and The Cliffs of Moher

The first trip we made was to the Burren and to the Cliffs of Moher and it could not be left out of this list! These two sites are a must if you are in Ireland and I must say, it did not disappoint.

2. Ring of Kerry

The Ring of Kerry tour was an amazing way to get to know the surroundings of County Kerry in one day. We booked a bus tour, but you can also rent a car and take the trip yourself. We visited, among others, Killarney, Torc Waterfall, Killorglin and Waterville.

1: Gap of Dunloe

The trip to the Gap of Dunloe was definitely my favourite trip that I did this semester, even though it was hard to pick a favourite. We booked a boat trip and then hiked for around 12 km. It was a truly amazing and magical experience and I would recommend everyone to do it.

I hope that with this blog I have given you some ideas what you can do when you are in Ireland. We have been to many more places and there are still a lot of places on my list. I was astonished by the beauty of Ireland and I cannot wait to come back and explore more. But, for now, there is only one more thing left to say. Ireland, I’ve had some good craic.

Emma, out !
