It is that time of the year again when our students start heading home 😦 We truly hope that you all enjoyed every moment of your time at the University of Limerick and that you will come back some day (soon!!!). Here are a few goodbyes posted by our students on Instagram.
hey_itsjena 130 days of European Adventures in 6 countries and countless cities, 14 plane rides, and a lot of $$$ spent. I “studied” in Ireland but learned so much more traveling, taking in new cultures, struggling with language barriers, and having probably the coolest 4 months of my life. So sláinte to the Emerald Isle, but I’m ready to be home
sammii096I cannot comprehend the fact that I will be back home in just 16 days! 🇮🇪 🇪🇺 🇲🇹 Not only did I experience living in totally different weather conditions & adapting to a somewhat different way of life but throughout this rather short, yet unforetold journey I have made countless friends from various countries which further broadened my perspective on different ethnicities, cultures, & life overall.
Thankyou @universityoflimerick@internationalul& @ulinternationalsociety

sweetnesspanda Today I said goodbye to this amazing campus where I spent the past four months of my life. I still can’t believe I got the chance to have such an incredible experience : stepping out of my comfort zone, meeting a bunch of amazing people, living abroad, speaking a foreign language everyday, learning about a new culture… I couldn’t even count how many incredible things I got to live. Thank you Ireland and to the Irish for being so welcoming. I still have 8 more days here to have a bit more of ‘craic’ and then I’ll fly home to start a new adventure, but carrying the wonderful memories I made here forever with me. 💚🍀🍻 #erasmus #universityoflimerick #ireland #internationalstudent
kas_owska It’s Today I walked through the campus for the last time and I’m still in love with the architecture here. It was a pleasure to study in such a beautiful place like @universityoflimerick #universityoflimerick #erasmus #architecture #campus #ireland
sierra_cathryn Saying goodbye to all of these wonderful people was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Coming into this experience I had no idea what to expect or if I would even enjoy myself but because of these people, my time at UL and in Ireland and Europe was better than I ever could have dreamed possible. I could go on and on in this post but you all know how I feel about you so I’ll keep it short and sweet. So all I’ll say is see you real soon. All my love ❤️ #studyabroad #family #universityoflimerick #ollscoilluimnigh #ulwolves
sheforliz “To adventure is to find yourself whole.” 🌎📍☘️ // To Limerick, to the Cliffs of Moher, to Belfast, to Dublin, to Cork and all of the other beautiful places Ireland has to offer, thank you for filling my life with adventure for the last five months. Although leaving my home was extremely difficult since I am a homebody, coming to Ireland to study abroad at the University of Limerick was not a mistake and I will forever remember this experience and the people I have met along the way. From river walks, to crazy nights at the Stables Club, to adventuring to the city, UL will always be apart of me and I am so blessed to have spent my semester at such a lovely campus. Making new friends is often difficult for an introvert like me, but a special thanks to @ky_donehoo56 and @becca_haas for putting up with me and my antics for five months. I am so so glad I met both of you and I cannot wait to visit Arizona and Minnesota soon, mark my words! Studying abroad here has made me a better person and I am so happy to call Ireland a second home. You’ll forever have a piece of my heart, Ireland! 🇨🇮🍺☘️ I’ll see you very very soon, Boston! // #studyatul #universityoflimerick #internationalul #bsustudyabroad #iloveyouireland #dontwanttoleave
