On Tuesday 24 November a dinner was held in the Scholars to celebrate the return of the 2014/15 Erasmus and International Exchanges students to UL. There was a good turn-out of students, now in their 4th year of studies at UL, with the offer of a good meal followed by a competition to compose a tweet about the academic placement abroad with cash prizes. The tweets about the experience of studying abroad were of a very high standard, demonstrating the wit and fast-thinking of UL students. Entries were so good that a fourth and fifth prize had to be awarded at the last minute.

Winners shown in the above photos were Sami El Cherif (first prize) who studied Law at Radboud University Nijmegen, Niamh Higgins (second prize) who spent her Erasmus placement at the highly prestigious Danish School of Media and Journalism, Brian Fannon (third prize) who studied Business at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon, Adam Heaton (fourth prize) and Sheriff Adegoke (fifth prize) students of Media, Music and Performance Technology who spent Erasmus placements at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
