As a practising lawyer in Pakistan and associate in a law firm, I was unsure about pursuing an
LLM. However, my curiosity led me to explore LLM options in Ireland. Little did I know,
this would be the start of my journey to the University of Limerick (UL).

I vividly remember the day I decided to explore my LLM options. I was sitting in my office
when I thought of the Irish clients I had worked with. It sparked an interest in me, and I
began researching the possibilities.

I came across the UL International Office and decided to reach out to them. To my surprise,
they connected me with the Law Department despite the admissions being closed. Mr. Quill
from the department listened to my story and offered me a solution. He allowed me to attend
classes online until I received my visa.

As someone who had never been to Ireland before, the idea of studying at the UL was both
exciting and intimidating. I knew I had to prepare myself to adjust to a new environment,
culture, and education system. However, I was determined to pursue my LLM and make the
most of my opportunity.

Despite the challenges, my journey at the UL was rewarding. The classes were engaging and
challenging, the professors were knowledgeable and supportive, and I was surrounded by
talented and passionate individuals. The online classes allowed me to have a flexible schedule
while still being able to interact with my classmates and professors.

Before I knew it, my journey at the UL was coming to an end, and I was about to graduate in
a few months. Looking back, I realized that this journey had ended sooner than I realized, and
I had grown both personally and professionally during my time at the UL.

I believe, my journey to the UL was a unique one, and I am grateful for the opportunity to
pursue my LLM. I learned that sometimes, taking a leap of faith and exploring new options
can lead to great opportunities. The UL has been a memorable chapter in my life, and I am
excited to see where this experience takes me next.
