Emma outlines four of her most important tips for coming back to the University Of Limerick after the holidays. These four tips are essential in living the most efficient and balanced college life this semester.
Welcome back to everyone coming back to UL and getting ready for the spring semester. Many of us have spent the winter break recharging and recovering. While this break was spent at home for many of us, we must now shift our attention back to school. Here are some tips for readjusting back to college life.
Tip One: The importance of a schedule
Keeping an organized and planned out schedule can really help you to get ready for the semester as well as allowing you to stay on top of your workload.
Tip Two: Be kind to yourself
Coming back to college is an adjustment. Honestly, it can be hard at times. Having to transition can be emotionally and mentally draining, so just remember to be kind to yourself and cut yourself some slack.
Tip Three: Stay busy
I know it sounds weird but staying busy can help keep you centered and away from distractions. Staying busy, whether that be with studying or working can help us stay focused.
Tip Four: Take time for self-care
Unexpected things can happen all the time and are bound to happen this semester whether we want them to or not. Just remember to take time to do things you enjoy, whether that be taking a walk, watching your favorite show, or reading a book for fun.
