Student Ambassadors 2015/6

on

Almost 50 International students have successfully completed the University of Limerick (UL) Student Ambassador Programme 2015/6. The students were made up of both single and double semester students from over 20 countries. This year saw the launch of the new student ambassador blog, studyireland.ie. This website is where international students can write about their experience in the University of Limerick in Ireland.

As well as writing for the student blog, the ambassadors get training in writing for the web, real experience in managing the international  social media such as Snapchat and Instagram account. They engage with prospective students, attend regular meetings, go on a trip per semester and at the end of the programme, those who have successfully completed it, get a letter of recommendation from the head of the International Education Division and a certificate of completion. The programme is social but also a competitive environment, with students competing for awards at the end of the term.

The International Student Ambassador Programme is open to all students studying in UL for exchange, full undergraduate, full postgraduate, study abroad & summer school programmes. Email Louise.mccormack@ul.ie for information on how to sign up.
