Experience Summer School in Ireland!
Experience Summer School in Ireland for 2017 at the University of Limerick!
Guinness, St Patrick’s Day and Leprechauns – it is all I knew about Ireland before coming here to study from Russia. “How could I knew so little about this country?” with hindsight, I am asking myself. No expectations, arguably, brought me to the place where I am right now – totally fascinated and staggered. This…
My Top 4 Favorite Places at UL
Everything is better when you’re with friends. I met these people the first week I was here and somehow we haven’t got sick of each other yet. You can usually find us in one of our apartments playing Spoons or watching movies. We also frequent the climbing wall and the Stables pub on campus. I know it’s cheesy, but these people have been the best (and most interesting) people I could’ve asked for during my time abroad! Here are my top 4 places in UL

This is the second time I’ve moved to Ireland for academic purposes and I can officially say that it’s one of my favourite countries. My First Day in Ireland by Whitney Coriolan, UL International Student Ambassador
My eyes questioned reality as soon as I walked out of Shannon Airport. Could this view be real? I felt as if I had walked straight into a new Instagram filter simply named “green”. Everything in sight had a tint of the vibrant color, even through the majestic fog. After accepting the realism of the beauty that is Ireland, I boarded the bus headed to the University of Limerick. I freaked out as soon as we started moving. We were driving on the wrong side of the road! It took a while to get used to the left hand side of the road, but after many winding roads and roundabouts I finally recovered. I excitedly rattled off questions to one of the University’s student guides and then struggled to understand her responses through her cheery Irish accent.
Sperrys, Sprints, and a Summit by Sara Jane Rodgers
I recently hiked Torc Mountain in Kerry. The name comes from an Irish word meaning “boar.” The legend goes that an enchanted boar was killed on this mountain by a legendary 3rd century hero named Fionn mac Cumhaill. Even though I did not see any enchanted boars (or any regular boars for that matter) on…
